Wood Chips
Free wood chips are available for SMUD customers to use as mulch around their trees and shrubs. You can get them Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the location below:

When you get to the gate, guards will provide you with directions to the wood chip loading area.
Bring your own tools to load the mulch and bags or a tarp to fill or cover a load.
