She wins, we win

Tracy Green of Sacramento has won a new ENERGY STAR® refrigerator from SMUD by recycling her old ‘fridge. Tracy was one of 3,252 SMUD customers who turned in their old, less efficient units. Altogether, they accounted for a savings of 2,640,000 kilowatt-hours, which is about the same amount of power used annually by 292 typical homes.
